ChatGPT is Down for Images and Files - macrumors.com
macrumors.com is reporting on the story above. It caught our attention because it may affect readers checking their internet or a specific service on SpeedTestTools right now.
Many people rely on artificial intelligence tools throughout the workday to summarize long documents, analyze spreadsheets, or extract text from pictures. When media attachments stop working, it can bring your everyday tasks to an abrupt halt and leave you wondering if your own internet connection is acting up.
To see if you are running into this specific glitch, try sending a simple, text-only message first. If standard conversation replies go through without any delay but your uploads stall or fail, your local setup is completely fine. You do not need to reset your home router, reinstall apps, or clear out your browser history, as none of those steps will resolve a problem on the provider's end.
Keep your documents saved on your computer and stick to plain text prompts until the file processing servers are back up and running.
- Run a quick speed test — get concrete numbers before assuming it's your ISP.
- Open the Down Detector board to see which major services are actually having issues right now.
- If numbers look off, walk through the Fix-My-Internet checklist — most issues clear in the first two steps.
