Google Assistant to shut down on Android, Wear OS next month - Mashable
Mashable is reporting on the story above. It caught our attention because it may affect readers checking their internet or a specific service on SpeedTestTools right now.
Many people rely on voice commands every day to set morning alarms, send hands-free messages, or check the weather on their phones and smartwatches. When a built-in feature like this goes away, it can easily catch you off guard. It is the type of sudden change that makes people assume their internet connection is broken when the tool itself simply stopped working.
Take a few minutes to check your Android phone and smartwatch settings so you know how you currently trigger voice commands. Pay attention to any system alerts or updates regarding how your device plans to handle your requests. If your spoken prompts suddenly stop answering next month, remember to verify the status of the service before you waste time troubleshooting your home Wi-Fi.
Staying aware of this shift today will save you plenty of confusion and frustration when your familiar voice tool changes.
