is ChatGPT down? Wdown? Why is ChatGPT not working? Chatgpt down? - Asbury Park Press
Asbury Park Press is reporting on the story above. It caught our attention because it may affect readers checking their internet or a specific service on SpeedTestTools right now.
Millions of people now rely on tools like ChatGPT to help draft messages, plan projects, or get work done every single day. When the screen freezes or refuses to load your requests, it is frustratingly easy to assume something has gone wrong with your personal computer or home Wi-Fi connection.
Before you crawl behind your desk to unplug your router, do a quick sanity check. Open a few other websites or stream a quick video to make sure the rest of your internet is running smoothly. If everything else loads without a hitch, try clearing your browser cache, logging in from a private window, or switching to your phone on mobile data. If it still refuses to connect across different devices, the platform itself is likely experiencing a wider technical hiccup.
In these moments, you do not need to fix anything on your end; the easiest solution is simply waiting it out until the service restores itself.
- Run a quick speed test — get concrete numbers before assuming it's your ISP.
- Open the Down Detector board to see which major services are actually having issues right now.
- If numbers look off, walk through the Fix-My-Internet checklist — most issues clear in the first two steps.
