TikTok founder Zhang Yiming is Asia's richest person now, topples India's Gautam Adani in numbers - IndulgExpress

TikTok's immense financial success reflects just how deeply short-form video dominates our daily screen time. For everyday households, platforms built on endless video feeds create a steady, silent demand on your home Wi-Fi and mobile data. When an app becomes this ubiquitous, it means more phones and tablets are constantly pulling down video files, which can quietly slow down other connected devices sharing your local connection.
If you notice sluggish browsing or choppy video playback while scrolling, you can take a few quick steps to smooth things out. Open the app settings and turn on data saver mode, which trims down file sizes without noticeably hurting video quality. You should also run a basic speed test to make sure your Wi-Fi signal reaches the room you usually relax in, or restart your router to clear out any digital traffic jams.
Popular video apps use significant bandwidth, so managing how they stream keeps your home network running smoothly for everyone.
- Run a quick speed test — get concrete numbers before assuming it's your ISP.
- Open the Down Detector board to see which major services are actually having issues right now.
- If numbers look off, walk through the Fix-My-Internet checklist — most issues clear in the first two steps.
